Son of the Great 3 (Yandere Various Naruto x Reader) - Chapter 1: Dinner party gone wrong (2024)

(Y/N) was a seventeen-year-old high school student with a cheerful and excitable personality. His love for anime, especially Naruto, was unmatched; he often spent hours discussing episodes, characters, and plot twists with friends online. He always found it fun and amusing to do. His room was also a shrine to his favorite series, decorated with posters of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, along with a collection of action figures that were displayed proudly on his shelves which nobody was ever allowed to see. (Y/N)'s (H/C) hair often gave him a slightly disheveled yet endearing look, and his eyes always seemed to shine with enthusiasm. He had an infectious smile and a laugh that could brighten anyone's day.

The coastal town that (Y/N) lived in was known for its serene beauty. The salty tang of the ocean mixed with the scent of blooming flowers, creating a refreshing and calming atmosphere. As the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple, (Y/N) marveled at the stunning twilight. The colors blended seamlessly, casting a warm glow over the town and making the waves of the ocean shimmer like liquid gold. It was a sight that never failed to captivate him no matter how many times he had seen it.

Today, however, (Y/N) was less enthusiastic than usual. His family was heading to a dinner party at his aunt's house. While he loved spending time with his parents and his aunt, his cousins were a different story. They were hyperactive, loud, and spoiled. Their behavior had clearly been unchecked by their mother as she struggled to manage them as a single parent. (Y/N) sat in the backseat of the car, trying to focus on the beautiful scenery outside rather than the approaching chaos.

As they drove along the coastal road, (Y/N) continued to admire scenery. The cool fresh breeze from the open window carried the scent of the sea. He felt a brief moment of peace, allowing himself to get lost in the beauty of the evening. When they finally arrived at his aunt's house, (Y/N)'s mother turned to him.

"(Y/N), can you grab the gift for your aunt from the backseat?" She asked with a smile.

"Yes, Mom," he replied, opening the door and retrieving the neatly wrapped package. He joined his parents at the front door, where they knocked and waited. The sound of hurried footsteps and hushed whispers came from inside before the door swung open to reveal his aunt. Her face lit up with a welcoming smile.

"Hello, everyone!" she greeted warmly, hugging (Y/N) and his mother before shaking his father's hand. As they exchanged pleasantries, one of (Y/N)'s cousins shouted from inside, demanding their mother's attention. She snapped out of her greeting mode, quickly inviting them inside. (Y/N) remained silent, trying to savor the tranquility of the house while it lasted. His parents and aunt continued their conversation, filling the living room with light chatter.

(Y/N) noticed his two cousins, giggling behind a nearly closed door. Curious, he leaned over to see what they were up to. He caught a glimpse of them holding something before they noticed him and ran off, laughing mischievously. (Y/N) rolled his eyes, already annoyed by their antics. He could not care less about what they had and what they were planning with it. He returned to his parents, hoping the evening would go smoothly.

Dinner was served shortly after. The dining table was set with steaming plates of spaghetti, the aroma of tomato sauce and herbs filling the air in such a way that the teen could already taste it. (Y/N)'s mother sat across from his aunt, with his father beside her. (Y/N) found his place on the other side of his mother, while his cousins sat next to their mother. The meal started pleasantly enough, everyone engaging in light conversation.

(Y/N) drank his entire glass of orange juice in one go, only to notice his cousins laughing at him from across the table as they pointed at him. Sighing, he thought about how annoying they were and how they desperately needed a reality check. After a while, (Y/N) started to feel unwell. His stomach churned, and he began to sweat, feeling hot and cold simultaneously. He attributed it to a bad reaction to the meal, trying to endure the discomfort without ruining the dinner for everyone else.

The pain eventually became unbearable, and (Y/N) excused himself to lie down on the sofa in the living room in an attempt to ease his suffering, but to no avail. An hour passed, and his condition worsened. He was drenched in sweat, his body wracked with pain and nausea. He felt a growing sense of annoyance and stress while his head was pounding. His limbs were too heavy to lift. Every movement was pure agony, and he could barely keep his eyes open.

Eventually, his parents noticed his absence and found him on the sofa, whimpering and sweating profusely. They panicked, asking him if he was okay and where the pain was. Suddenly, his cousins burst out laughing, drawing the ire of (Y/N)'s father.

"What are you laughing at?" he demanded menacingly. The cousins exchanged grins.

"We pranked him. We put windshield fluid in his juice," they answered with an annoying smile that stunned to room into silence. (Y/N)'s father erupted in raw anger, his voice booming. The cousins immediately started crying as they rushed to their mother for comfort. She stood there, shocked and fearful, unable to console them after hearing what they had done. (Y/N) felt a surge of fear despite the overwhelming pain. Just when he realized he had been poisoned, his world started to fade away and his senses became distorted. He could still hear his parents yelling at his cousins and aunt while they hurriedly carried him to the car to get him to the hospital.

"You're going to be fine, (Y/N). Just hold on," his mother said, with tears streaming down her face, as she tried to reassure him. As (Y/N) slipped into unconsciousness, he felt a profound sense of despair. The car sped towards the hospital, but by the time they arrived, it was too late. (Y/N) was already dead.
