Salazar entered the plea Tuesday before County Court-at-Law No. 2 Judge Juan Velasquez IIL A burglary of motor vehicle charge had been filed against Salazar, accusing him of entering a pickup truck belonging to Douglas Lee Kalmus of Route 10 on Jan.
21 while the vehicle was parked under one of the Guadalupe River relief bridges on Goliad Highway. The case had been passed for further investigation Jan. 27 by the Victoria County Grand Jury. The misdemeanor theft alleging the same offense was filed Tuesday. School Bus Driver Hurt Pot Raid Misdemeanor possession of marijuana charges mere filed against two people Wednesday as a result of a Tuesday afternoon police raid at their mobile home.
Charged were Denise Joann Madden, 21, and John Gilbert Gomei, 22, of 2003 Kern Drive. Detective Lt. John Baylor said Ms. Madden was arrested by officers at the mobile home following the alleged recovery of three half-filled "baggies" of marijuana. He said Gomez was arrested when he appeared later at police headquarters.

Assault Filed A misdemeanor assault charge was filed Wednesday in County Court-at-Law No. 1 against David Gutierrez, 18, of Old Goliad Road, in connection with a Monday evening knifing incident on the parking lot of Dick's Supermarket, 1302 E. Cres-twood Drive. Gutierrez is charged with inflicting a six-inch laceration across the lower chest area of Ruben Stoeltje, 19, of 2008 Sam Houston Drive, Apt. 1107.
He was not in custody Wednesday. Stoeltje was treated at Citizens Memorial Hospital. Bond Posted Arnulfo Herrera, 29, of 1810 E. Colorado Apt. 706, posted a $300 bond at the sheriff's office Wednesday on a misdemeanor assault charge filed Tuesday in County Court-at-Law No.
